Biogas Recovery from Anaerobic Co-Digestion of Poultry House Wastes for Clean Energy Production
نویسندگان
چکیده
Anaerobic digestion is a technology widely used for treatment of organic waste biogas production as source clean energy. In this study, poultry house wastes (PHW) material was examined production. The effects inoculum addition, pretreatment the substrate, and temperature on were taken into full consideration. Results revealed that effect addition more significant than alkaline raw materials. recovery from inoculated materials exceeds its without inoculation by approximately 70% at mesophilic conditions. Whereby, increase pretreated 20% higher untreated thermophilic conditions improved yield 73%. kinetic bio-digestion process well described modified Gompertz model experimental predicted values fitted with correlation coefficient > 0.96 suggesting favorable process.

this study investigated the effect of loading and temperature on anaerobic co-digestion of poultry manure with straw in mesophilic conditions. the study was made at lab-scale using 70l reactor with a hrt of 15 days. during the first phase, different loads of 1.0, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 kg vs/m3.d were studied in order to produce biogas. at load of 3.0 kg vs/ m3.d, vs removal and gas product...
متن کاملAnaerobic Digestion of Kitchen Wastes: “Biogas Production and Pretreatment of Wastes, A Review”
Currently, much of our biodegradable wastes such as kitchen wastes, agricultural wastes & animal wastes are used to produce Biogas, a powerful greenhouse gas. Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a treatment that composts these wastes in the absence of oxygen, producing a biogas that can be used to generate Heat & Power. Producing renewable energy from our biodegradable wastes helps to tackle the energy...
متن کاملAnaerobic co-digestion of organic wastes
Over the last years anaerobic digestion has been successfully established as technology to treat organic wastes. The perspective of turning, through a low-cost process, organic wastes into biogas, a source of renewable energy and profit, has certainly increased the interest around this technology and has required several studies aimed to develop methods that could improve the performance as wel...
متن کامل2. Production of Biogas by Anaerobic Digestion
Anaerobic digestion is a natural process in which bacteria convert organic materials into biogas. It occurs in marshes and wetlands, and in the digestive tract of ruminants. The bacteria are also active in landfills where they are the principal process degrading landfilled food wastes and other biomass. Biogas can be collected and used as a potential energy resource. The process occurs in an an...
